We focus on two key issues at the E-Government Institute: What should the state look like in the future? And how do we get there?
The first question has a long tradition and only gains in topicality today. Information technology has fundamentally changed the options for information management and will continue to change them to an even greater extent. This change affects business and private life, and provides new challenges for public administrations and governments. It also opens up new possibilities on how to structure these organisations.
The second question addresses the problem of practical implementation. It concerns the management of fundamental transformation processes and participation within those. Changes are not restricted to the public administration, but also explicitly influence democratic processes.
