As an International Program student you should:

  • have C1 level English skills
  • be interested in and open towards studying, living and working in an international environment.

Full program student
You need to fulfill the entry requirements of the Bern University of Applied Sciences, Business Division:

  • a business-related vocational baccalaureate ("Berufsmaturität")
  • a vocational baccalaureate ("Berufsmaturität") in a non-business related subject, a university entrance qualification ("gymnasiale Maturität") or a specialized vocational qualification ("Fachmaturität") and have at least one year's work experience in a business/commercial environment (clerical grade, full-time employment)
  • a professional college degree ("Höherer Fachschulabschluss") and have at least one year's work experience in a business/commercial environment (clerical grade, full-time employment)
  • an equivalent qualification awarded by an institute of higher education in Switzerland or abroad (according to CRUS criteria, www.crus.ch) and at least one year's work experience in a business/commercial environment (clerical grade, full-time employment).

Online Registration for the International Program within the BSc degree in Business Administration

The application deadline for a start as a full program student is:
31 March**        for Autumn Semester Start

The number of places for the English speaking modules of the BSc Business Administration (International Program) is limited. If we have more applicants than places candidates meeting the formal requirements will be invited for an interview and an English exam at Bern University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Business.
Remark: If you are not resident of Switzerland there will be an telephone interview and online English exam.

Full program student in a more advanced semester
Applications for students who wish to enter in a more advanced semester are possible on request. Special requirements apply. Please send an e-mail with your request to international.wirtschaftnoSpam@bfh.ch.

Exchange student
You can benefit from a bilateral ‘waiver of fee’ agreement between your home institution and the Bern University of Applied Sciences, Business Division. Preference will be given to those applicants who apply for two or more semesters.
